Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI gained 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS), which rose 3.58% or 0.17 points to trade at 4.98 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) added 1.72% or 0.07 points to end at 4.02 and EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) was up 1.12% or 0.17 points to 15.33 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which fell 2.41% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.41 at the close. Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA) unchanged 0.16% or 0.00 points to end at 2.50 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) was down 0.11% or 0.01 points to 8.88.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 15 to 8 and 9 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.28% or 0.94 to $72.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.54% or 1.09 to hit $69.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.33% or 8.85 to trade at $2,655.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.57% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 100.56.
