Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI added 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP), which rose 1.60% or 0.30 points to trade at 19.09 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) added 1.50% or 0.01 points to end at 0.39 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) was up 1.35% or 0.22 points to 16.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP), which fell 0.83% or 0.03 points to trade at 3.68 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) declined 0.64% or 0.09 points to end at 14.07 and Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT) was down 0.60% or 0.05 points to 8.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 14 to 12 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 1.81% or 1.44 to $81.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.74% or 1.34 to hit $78.32 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.68% or 16.80 to trade at $2,496.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.49% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 102.72.
