Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Utilities and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI rose 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which rose 2.36% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.46 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) added 0.71% or 0.07 points to end at 9.88 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) was up 0.62% or 0.05 points to 8.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which fell 1.35% or 0.04 points to trade at 2.78 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) declined 1.32% or 0.23 points to end at 16.77 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) was down 1.28% or 0.24 points to 18.52.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 14 to 7 and 7 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.99% or 0.74 to $73.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.61% or 1.15 to hit $70.14 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 5.56 to trade at $2,670.24 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.47% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 106.53.
