Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI added 0.14% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which rose 2.01% or 0.07 points to trade at 3.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Semapa (ELI:SEM) added 1.77% or 0.26 points to end at 14.94 and Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS) was up 0.85% or 0.03 points to 3.56 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT), which fell 0.89% or 0.08 points to trade at 8.35 at the close. Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE) declined 0.64% or 0.02 points to end at 2.33 and Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) was down 0.55% or 0.03 points to 5.39.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 15 to 12 and 2 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.22% or 0.19 to $85.21 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.17% or 0.14 to hit $82.48 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 4.00 to trade at $2,417.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.35% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.23% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 103.80.
