Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI gained 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which rose 1.59% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.45 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) added 1.17% or 0.04 points to end at 3.45 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) was up 0.99% or 0.08 points to 8.17 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS), which fell 3.61% or 0.19 points to trade at 5.07 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) declined 3.44% or 0.13 points to end at 3.54 and EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) was down 1.13% or 0.12 points to 10.53.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 14 to 13 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) fell to 3-years lows; falling 1.13% or 0.12 to 10.53.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 1.24% or 0.90 to $73.71 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.35% or 0.93 to hit $69.68 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.53% or 14.10 to trade at $2,665.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.70% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 107.06.
