Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI rose 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS), which rose 2.24% or 0.12 points to trade at 5.24 at the close. Meanwhile, Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA) added 2.21% or 0.05 points to end at 2.50 and Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) was up 1.64% or 0.01 points to 0.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which fell 1.95% or 0.29 points to trade at 14.55 at the close. EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) declined 1.47% or 0.06 points to end at 3.90 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) was down 0.57% or 0.05 points to 8.71.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 16 to 13 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) fell to 52-week lows; down 0.57% or 0.05 to 8.71.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.43% or 1.11 to $78.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.64% or 1.21 to hit $74.92 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 6.30 to trade at $2,672.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.66% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.51% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.61% at 102.38.
