Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Technology and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 1.52%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which rose 4.36% or 0.2800 points to trade at 6.7000 at the close. Meanwhile, The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) added 3.78% or 0.1400 points to end at 3.8440 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was up 3.75% or 0.5450 points to 15.0600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which fell 1.17% or 0.0420 points to trade at 3.5420 at the close. Ramada Investimentos e Industria SA (LS:RAMA) declined 0.56% or 0.050 points to end at 8.800 and REN (LS:RENE) was down 0.50% or 0.0120 points to 2.3960.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 15 to 14 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 2.72% or 1.62 to $61.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 3.08% or 1.57 to hit $52.50 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.03% or 12.60 to trade at $1238.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.33% to 1.1354, while EUR/GBP rose 0.45% to 0.8911.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 96.855.
