Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 1.48%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 9.91% or 0.0210 points to trade at 0.2330 at the close. Meanwhile, Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) added 3.17% or 0.1400 points to end at 4.5500 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was up 2.56% or 0.0260 points to 1.0400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which fell 0.42% or 0.050 points to trade at 11.850 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) declined 0.30% or 0.030 points to end at 9.850 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was up 0.26% or 0.0450 points to 17.0600.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 25 to 10.
Brent oil for April delivery was up 0.59% or 0.37 to $63.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.96% or 0.57 to hit $59.77 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.81% or 10.70 to trade at $1326.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.2273, while EUR/GBP rose 0.25% to 0.8884.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 90.15.
