Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Utilities and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 1.21%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 4.95% or 0.1600 points to trade at 3.3900 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) added 2.77% or 0.2200 points to end at 8.1700 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) was up 2.20% or 0.1200 points to 5.5650 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sonae (LS:YSO), which fell 1.32% or 0.0140 points to trade at 1.0460 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) declined 0.42% or 0.0120 points to end at 2.8420 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) was down 0.19% or 0.0005 points to 0.2675.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 27 to 7 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.20% or 0.1200 to 5.5650.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 1.50% or 1.15 to $75.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.32% or 0.87 to hit $64.94 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.40 to trade at $1297.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.24% to 1.1688, while EUR/GBP rose 0.50% to 0.8781.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 94.04.
