Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 1.02% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 5.52% or 0.0145 points to trade at 0.2770 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) added 2.37% or 0.1900 points to end at 8.2200 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 2.28% or 0.1100 points to 4.9360 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP), which fell 0.12% or 0.0200 points to trade at 16.9300 at the close. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) unchanged 0.00% or 0.0000 points to end at 1.0160 and EDP (LS:EDP) was up 0.03% or 0.0010 points to 3.4010.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 28 to 7 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) rose to all time highs; up 2.37% or 0.1900 to 8.2200.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.76% or 0.60 to $79.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.17% or 0.12 to hit $71.61 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 0.70 to trade at $1290.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.1808, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.8732.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 93.30.
