Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.89%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 5.51% or 0.0140 points to trade at 0.2680 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) added 4.94% or 0.0124 points to end at 0.2636 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was up 2.19% or 0.0200 points to 0.9330 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR), which fell 1.18% or 0.0950 points to trade at 7.9500 at the close. REN (LS:RENE) declined 0.93% or 0.0220 points to end at 2.3560 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was down 0.90% or 0.100 points to 10.950.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 25 to 8 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 1.07% or 0.83 to $76.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.97% or 0.65 to hit $66.39 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.36% or 4.70 to trade at $1295.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.25% to 1.1663, while EUR/GBP fell 0.64% to 0.8738.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 94.14.
