Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.88%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 4.76% or 0.0090 points to trade at 0.1980 at the close. Meanwhile, J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) added 2.55% or 0.3150 points to end at 12.6550 and Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) was up 2.08% or 0.0185 points to 0.9070 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which fell 0.74% or 0.0240 points to trade at 3.2300 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) declined 0.54% or 0.060 points to end at 11.140 and EDP (LS:EDP) was down 0.03% or 0.0010 points to 3.2890.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 22 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.34% or 0.26 to $77.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.37% or 0.25 to hit $67.50 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1201.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.42% to 1.1602, while EUR/GBP fell 0.44% to 0.8905.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 95.08.
