Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.79% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA), which rose 12.78% or 0.409 points to trade at 3.609 at the close. Meanwhile, Semapa (LS:SEM) added 2.59% or 0.4000 points to end at 15.8400 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) was up 2.57% or 0.0090 points to 0.3590 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which fell 1.15% or 0.150 points to trade at 12.950 at the close. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) declined 0.46% or 0.0040 points to end at 0.8710 and EDP (LS:EDP) was down 0.44% or 0.0140 points to 3.1890.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 21 to 12 and 5 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.39% or 0.80 to $56.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.50% or 0.78 to hit $51.36 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 1.68 to trade at $1289.48 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.30% to 1.1782, while EUR/GBP fell 0.14% to 0.8766.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 93.02.
