Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Financials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.75%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which rose 2.13% or 0.0160 points to trade at 0.7660 at the close. Meanwhile, Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 1.84% or 0.210 points to end at 11.645 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was up 1.39% or 0.0031 points to 0.2265 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 1.24% or 0.0040 points to trade at 0.3180 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) declined 0.75% or 0.0390 points to end at 5.1680 and Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) was down 0.53% or 0.017 points to 3.190.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 27 to 11 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.57% or 0.30 to $52.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.38% or 0.18 to hit $47.05 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.50% or 6.58 to trade at $1328.78 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.29% to 1.1874, while EUR/GBP fell 0.55% to 0.9159.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 92.72.
