Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Basic Materials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Semapa (LS:SEM), which rose 3.46% or 0.6400 points to trade at 19.1400 at the close. Meanwhile, The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) added 2.77% or 0.1340 points to end at 4.9800 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) was up 2.15% or 0.0060 points to 0.2850 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which fell 2.00% or 0.2800 points to trade at 13.7000 at the close. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) declined 0.16% or 0.0080 points to end at 4.8840 and F.Rama (LS:RAMA) was 0.00% or 0.000 points to 12.500.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 20 to 17 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.00% or 0.2800 to 13.7000. Shares in The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) rose to all time highs; up 2.77% or 0.1340 to 4.9800.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 1.63% or 1.22 to $76.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.20% or 0.84 to hit $70.56 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1314.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.26% to 1.1930, while EUR/GBP fell 0.50% to 0.8797.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 92.55.
