Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.70%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 3.03% or 0.0075 points to trade at 0.2550 at the close. Meanwhile, Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) added 1.72% or 0.0570 points to end at 3.3800 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was up 1.15% or 0.1950 points to 17.2200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which fell 1.16% or 0.145 points to trade at 12.395 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) declined 0.59% or 0.0260 points to end at 4.3610 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was down 0.24% or 0.0020 points to 0.8400.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 25 to 13 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.72% or 0.0570 to 3.3800.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.17% or 0.10 to $60.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.24% or 0.13 to hit $54.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.46% or 5.85 to trade at $1277.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.20% to 1.1631, while EUR/GBP fell 0.29% to 0.8809.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 94.48.
