Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.70%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 11.54% or 0.0202 points to trade at 0.1952 at the close. Meanwhile, The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) added 4.55% or 0.1640 points to end at 3.7680 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was up 2.45% or 0.3400 points to 14.2000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which fell 8.28% or 0.1500 points to trade at 1.6620 at the close. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) declined 0.92% or 0.0600 points to end at 6.4700 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was down 0.83% or 0.1200 points to 14.2850.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 16 to 15 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.03% or 0.02 to $60.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $51.57 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.51% or 6.20 to trade at $1226.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.45% to 1.1339, while EUR/GBP fell 0.03% to 0.8859.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 96.953.
