Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Technology and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which rose 2.73% or 0.1140 points to trade at 4.2880 at the close. Meanwhile, Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) added 2.33% or 0.0500 points to end at 2.1950 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was up 1.05% or 0.1800 points to 17.2800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 0.56% or 0.0010 points to trade at 0.1786 at the close. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) declined 0.36% or 0.0300 points to end at 8.3300 and Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) was down 0.28% or 0.0025 points to 0.9025.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 23 to 11 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) fell to 52-week lows; falling 0.56% or 0.0010 to 0.1786.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.47% or 0.38 to $81.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.64% or 0.46 to hit $72.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.93% or 11.20 to trade at $1187.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.52% to 1.1679, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.8911.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.53% at 94.38.
