Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.63%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which rose 4.35% or 0.0340 points to trade at 0.8160 at the close. Meanwhile, Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) added 2.02% or 0.2850 points to end at 14.3850 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was up 1.67% or 0.0160 points to 0.9760 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which fell 1.09% or 0.125 points to trade at 11.370 at the close. EDP (LS:EDP) declined 0.39% or 0.0130 points to end at 3.3310 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) was down 0.30% or 0.0210 points to 7.0590.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 29 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.73% or 0.40 to $55.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.52% or 0.75 to hit $50.05 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.27 to trade at $1329.27 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.1879, while EUR/GBP fell 1.43% to 0.8868.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 92.33.
