Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 5.93% or 0.1500 points to trade at 2.6790 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) added 4.01% or 0.0081 points to end at 0.2100 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was up 1.38% or 0.0130 points to 0.9550 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which fell 2.22% or 0.3700 points to trade at 16.2700 at the close. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) declined 1.16% or 0.0090 points to end at 0.7690 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was down 1.13% or 0.135 points to 11.815.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 23 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.74% or 0.40 to $54.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.44% or 0.21 to hit $48.28 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.25% or 3.29 to trade at $1332.41 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.10% to 1.1965, while EUR/GBP fell 0.76% to 0.9012.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 91.88.
