Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO), which rose 4.39% or 0.0400 points to trade at 0.9520 at the close. Meanwhile, Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) added 3.20% or 0.2600 points to end at 8.3900 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was up 1.63% or 0.0040 points to 0.2494 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 1.20% or 0.0022 points to trade at 0.1814 at the close. EDP (LS:EDP) declined 0.43% or 0.0140 points to end at 3.2500 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was down 0.34% or 0.0600 points to 17.5800.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 13 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.20% or 0.0022 to 0.1814.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.04% or 0.81 to $78.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.15% or 0.79 to hit $69.47 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 2.60 to trade at $1203.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.21% to 1.1659, while EUR/GBP fell 0.07% to 0.8874.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 94.25.
