Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.56%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 2.96% or 0.0075 points to trade at 0.2608 at the close. Meanwhile, Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) added 2.32% or 0.3900 points to end at 17.1700 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 1.93% or 0.0400 points to 2.1150 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which fell 1.74% or 0.0740 points to trade at 4.1840 at the close. Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) declined 0.67% or 0.0060 points to end at 0.8900 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) was down 0.66% or 0.0012 points to 0.1808.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 15 to 14 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) fell to 52-week lows; down 0.66% or 0.0012 to 0.1808.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.99% or 0.80 to $81.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.19% or 0.14 to hit $72.22 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.50 to trade at $1205.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.1774, while EUR/GBP fell 0.15% to 0.8942.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 93.68.
