Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 4.26% or 0.0110 points to trade at 0.2690 at the close. Meanwhile, Sonae (LS:YSO) added 3.29% or 0.0370 points to end at 1.1630 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was up 1.23% or 0.1950 points to 16.0450 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which fell 1.50% or 0.0500 points to trade at 3.2800 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 1.02% or 0.1600 points to end at 15.5000 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was down 0.91% or 0.0080 points to 0.8720.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 21 to 14 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sonae (LS:YSO) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.29% or 0.0370 to 1.1630.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.06% or 0.04 to $63.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.47% or 0.27 to hit $57.31 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1257.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.1773, while EUR/GBP rose 0.81% to 0.8841.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 93.86.
