Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.54% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 6.12% or 0.0122 points to trade at 0.2117 at the close. Meanwhile, Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 1.33% or 0.0040 points to end at 0.3050 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 1.05% or 0.0260 points to 2.5060 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which fell 1.13% or 0.1900 points to trade at 16.6050 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 1.06% or 0.1500 points to end at 13.9850 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was down 1.06% or 0.1600 points to 14.9400.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 15 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.73% or 0.40 to $54.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.04% or 1.00 to hit $48.09 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.60 to trade at $1351.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.12% to 1.2036, while EUR/GBP fell 0.65% to 0.9117.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 91.29.
