Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.50%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which rose 11.89% or 0.0850 points to trade at 0.8000 at the close. Meanwhile, Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) added 2.82% or 0.0240 points to end at 0.8765 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) was up 1.69% or 0.0700 points to 4.2000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 1.38% or 0.0022 points to trade at 0.1572 at the close. EDP (LS:EDP) declined 1.16% or 0.0370 points to end at 3.1500 and Ramada Investimentos e Industria SA (LS:RAMA) was down 1.01% or 0.100 points to 9.800.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 13 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.85% or 0.71 to $84.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.58% or 0.43 to hit $74.72 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.50 to trade at $1191.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.09% to 1.1482, while EUR/GBP fell 0.40% to 0.8744.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 95.46.
