Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO), which rose 2.60% or 0.0250 points to trade at 0.9880 at the close. Meanwhile, CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) added 2.50% or 0.0820 points to end at 3.3660 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 2.31% or 0.0650 points to 2.8750 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 1.16% or 0.0025 points to trade at 0.2130 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) declined 1.14% or 0.1000 points to end at 8.7000 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was down 1.10% or 0.120 points to 10.780.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 12 and 7 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.57% or 0.41 to $72.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.98% or 0.64 to hit $66.06 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 1.90 to trade at $1196.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.47% to 1.1536, while EUR/GBP fell 0.08% to 0.8965.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 95.37.
