Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods and Utilities sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.46%.

The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR), which rose 2.48% or 0.1850 points to trade at 7.6550 at the close. Meanwhile, Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) added 2.07% or 0.0750 points to end at 3.6900 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was up 1.78% or 0.0560 points to 3.2000 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS), which fell 1.13% or 0.0540 points to trade at 4.7060 at the close. EDP (LS:EDP) declined 0.47% or 0.0140 points to end at 2.9930 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was down 0.40% or 0.040 points to 10.060.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 20 to 10 and 5 ended unchanged.

Shares in EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 2.48% or 0.1850 to 7.6550. Shares in Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) fell to 3-years lows; losing 1.13% or 0.0540 to 4.7060.

Brent oil for May delivery was up 2.00% or 1.32 to $67.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 2.19% or 1.36 to hit $63.49 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.46% or 6.00 to trade at $1311.80 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was down 0.62% to 1.2260, while EUR/GBP fell 0.49% to 0.8753.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.48% at 89.90.
