Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Consumer Services and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae (LS:YSO), which rose 1.78% or 0.0170 points to trade at 0.9715 at the close. Meanwhile, Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 1.77% or 0.200 points to end at 11.480 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was up 1.49% or 0.1850 points to 12.5700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which fell 1.00% or 0.0900 points to trade at 8.8700 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) declined 0.99% or 0.100 points to end at 10.050 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was down 0.98% or 0.0090 points to 0.9110.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 20 to 15 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.03% or 0.02 to $74.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.60% or 0.42 to hit $69.19 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1225.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.14% to 1.1659, while EUR/GBP rose 0.11% to 0.8893.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 94.44.
