Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.37% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 2.52% or 0.0057 points to trade at 0.2322 at the close. Meanwhile, Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) added 1.80% or 0.0710 points to end at 4.0120 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was up 1.60% or 0.0160 points to 1.0150 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 1.47% or 0.0050 points to trade at 0.3350 at the close. EDP (LS:EDP) declined 0.64% or 0.0210 points to end at 3.2680 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was down 0.52% or 0.060 points to 11.515.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 17 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sonae (LS:YSO) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.60% or 0.0160 to 1.0150.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.83% or 0.46 to $55.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.87% or 0.44 to hit $49.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.07 to trade at $1309.73 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.11% to 1.1968, while EUR/GBP rose 0.23% to 0.8877.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 91.79.
