Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Consumer Services and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which rose 3.32% or 0.390 points to trade at 12.150 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) added 2.64% or 0.1790 points to end at 6.9670 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 0.88% or 0.0480 points to 5.4810 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 2.34% or 0.0060 points to trade at 0.2500 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 1.48% or 0.2300 points to end at 15.3250 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was down 1.03% or 0.0380 points to 3.6630.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 22 to 16 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for March delivery was up 1.07% or 0.71 to $66.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.92% or 0.55 to hit $60.39 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.80% or 10.40 to trade at $1307.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.67% to 1.2022, while EUR/GBP fell 0.01% to 0.8888.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.56% at 91.82.
