Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.33% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 13.88% or 0.0580 points to trade at 0.4760 at the close. Meanwhile, Semapa (LS:SEM) added 3.07% or 0.5150 points to end at 17.3050 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) was up 3.04% or 0.1600 points to 5.4260 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which fell 3.19% or 0.5200 points to trade at 15.7950 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) declined 1.31% or 0.170 points to end at 12.850 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was down 0.45% or 0.055 points to 12.135.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 16 and 8 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.84% or 1.05 to $55.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.22% or 1.14 to hit $50.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 6.70 to trade at $1295.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.1843, while EUR/GBP fell 0.36% to 0.8939.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 92.89.
