Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which rose 4.08% or 0.1140 points to trade at 2.9100 at the close. Meanwhile, Semapa (LS:SEM) added 1.91% or 0.4500 points to end at 23.9500 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was up 1.54% or 0.0170 points to 1.1200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR), which fell 1.88% or 0.1550 points to trade at 8.0900 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) declined 1.15% or 0.0030 points to end at 0.2570 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was down 0.91% or 0.100 points to 10.850.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 14 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Semapa (LS:SEM) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.91% or 0.4500 to 23.9500.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.17% or 0.13 to $76.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.48% or 0.32 to hit $66.42 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 2.50 to trade at $1300.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.1782, while EUR/GBP fell 0.26% to 0.8786.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 93.57.
