Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 5.46% or 0.0130 points to trade at 0.2510 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP (LS:EDP) added 3.05% or 0.0890 points to end at 3.0100 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) was up 2.00% or 0.0950 points to 4.8500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which fell 1.42% or 0.0041 points to trade at 0.2851 at the close. Semapa (LS:SEM) declined 0.41% or 0.0800 points to end at 19.2200 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was down 0.35% or 0.0040 points to 1.1460.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 20 to 16 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for May delivery was down 1.05% or 0.69 to $64.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.37% or 0.85 to hit $61.19 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 2.70 to trade at $1321.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.18% to 1.2330, while EUR/GBP fell 0.14% to 0.8869.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 89.93.
