Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.24% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 8.82% or 0.1570 points to trade at 1.9370 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) added 5.91% or 0.0025 points to end at 0.0448 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) was up 1.77% or 0.1150 points to 6.6000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teixeira Duarte (LS:TDSA), which fell 25.17% or 0.0740 points to trade at 0.2200 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) declined 6.76% or 0.0100 points to end at 0.1380 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was down 1.53% or 0.1750 points to 11.2700.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 27 to 23 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Teixeira Duarte (LS:TDSA) fell to 3-years lows; falling 25.17% or 0.0740 to 0.2200.
Brent oil for May delivery was down 0.77% or 0.32 to $41.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $40.20 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.81% or 10.30 to trade at $1254.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.36% to 1.1275, while EUR/GBP fell 0.44% to 0.7781.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.27% at 95.03.
