Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which rose 1.49% or 0.150 points to trade at 10.200 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP (LS:EDP) added 1.23% or 0.0430 points to end at 3.5330 and REN (LS:RENE) was up 1.20% or 0.0300 points to 2.5200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Semapa (LS:SEM), which fell 1.21% or 0.2500 points to trade at 20.4500 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) declined 1.03% or 0.0900 points to end at 8.6900 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was down 0.78% or 0.0021 points to 0.2659.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 15 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in EDP (LS:EDP) rose to 3-years highs; up 1.23% or 0.0430 to 3.5330.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 1.02% or 0.76 to $75.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.91% or 1.31 to hit $70.00 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 1.10 to trade at $1221.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.47% to 1.1713, while EUR/GBP rose 0.26% to 0.8918.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 94.09.
