Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which rose 5.55% or 0.1710 points to trade at 3.2500 at the close. Meanwhile, Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 1.64% or 0.0050 points to end at 0.3100 and Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) was up 1.35% or 0.040 points to 3.010 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which fell 1.37% or 0.165 points to trade at 11.905 at the close. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) declined 1.11% or 0.1850 points to end at 16.5000 and REN (LS:RENE) was down 0.96% or 0.0240 points to 2.4650.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 21 to 12 and 7 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.22% or 0.14 to $62.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.31% or 0.18 to hit $57.12 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.87% or 11.10 to trade at $1271.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.36% to 1.1890, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.8814.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 93.06.
