Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 4.89% or 0.0136 points to trade at 0.2919 at the close. Meanwhile, J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) added 2.94% or 0.3850 points to end at 13.4700 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was up 2.23% or 0.250 points to 11.450 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which fell 1.76% or 0.0650 points to trade at 3.6200 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 1.06% or 0.1750 points to end at 16.2900 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) was down 0.88% or 0.0440 points to 4.9360.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 12 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) rose to 52-week lows; up 2.94% or 0.3850 to 13.4700.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 2.88% or 2.19 to $73.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 3.31% or 2.34 to hit $68.39 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 2.20 to trade at $1311.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.38% to 1.1878, while EUR/GBP fell 0.31% to 0.8768.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 92.88.
