Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Telecoms and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which rose 3.17% or 0.350 points to trade at 11.400 at the close. Meanwhile, J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) added 2.26% or 0.3500 points to end at 15.8500 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 2.09% or 0.1080 points to 5.2700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which fell 2.29% or 0.0740 points to trade at 3.1610 at the close. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) declined 1.34% or 0.0110 points to end at 0.8070 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was down 0.92% or 0.1500 points to 16.1300.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 18 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) fell to all time lows; down 2.29% or 0.0740 to 3.1610.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 1.96% or 1.24 to $61.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.11% or 1.20 to hit $55.56 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 1.18 to trade at $1280.08 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.92% to 1.1774, while EUR/GBP rose 0.65% to 0.8954.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.57% at 93.86.
