Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which rose 1.79% or 0.1100 points to trade at 6.2400 at the close. Meanwhile, CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) added 1.78% or 0.0560 points to end at 3.1980 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was up 1.64% or 0.0048 points to 0.2967 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 3.66% or 0.0105 points to trade at 0.2765 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 1.38% or 0.0500 points to end at 3.5700 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) was down 1.37% or 0.1100 points to 7.9300.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 14 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) rose to all time highs; rising 1.79% or 0.1100 to 6.2400.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 3.15% or 2.36 to $77.21 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 3.24% or 2.24 to hit $71.30 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 0.80 to trade at $1312.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.1855, while EUR/GBP fell 0.21% to 0.8743.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 92.92.
