Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 5.81% or 0.0190 points to trade at 0.3460 at the close. Meanwhile, Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) added 3.28% or 0.0280 points to end at 0.8810 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was up 2.15% or 0.270 points to 12.800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which fell 1.28% or 0.0380 points to trade at 2.9260 at the close. EDP (LS:EDP) declined 0.86% or 0.0280 points to end at 3.2250 and REN (LS:RENE) was down 0.65% or 0.0180 points to 2.7480.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 18 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.15% or 0.270 to 12.800.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.07% or 0.04 to $56.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.20% or 0.10 to hit $50.59 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.39% or 18.24 to trade at $1298.16 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.37% to 1.1938, while EUR/GBP fell 0.15% to 0.8799.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 91.99.
