Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP), which rose 1.82% or 0.3000 points to trade at 16.7400 at the close. Meanwhile, Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 1.08% or 0.120 points to end at 11.280 and EDP (LS:EDP) was up 1.01% or 0.0310 points to 3.0870 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 2.53% or 0.0070 points to trade at 0.2695 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) declined 1.64% or 0.1300 points to end at 7.8000 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) was down 0.64% or 0.0400 points to 6.2000.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 14 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 1.82% or 0.3000 to 16.7400.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.36% or 0.28 to $76.93 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.44% or 0.31 to hit $70.83 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.51% or 6.70 to trade at $1319.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.51% to 1.1911, while EUR/GBP rose 0.88% to 0.8825.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 92.65.
