Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Consumer Goods and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which rose 3.55% or 0.1290 points to trade at 3.7580 at the close. Meanwhile, The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) added 2.50% or 0.0890 points to end at 3.6550 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was up 2.07% or 0.3100 points to 15.2500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which fell 4.63% or 0.0098 points to trade at 0.2019 at the close. Montepio (LS:MPIO) declined 0.50% or 0.005 points to end at 1.000 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was down 0.42% or 0.050 points to 11.950.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 23 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $53.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.43% or 0.68 to hit $48.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.03% or 13.95 to trade at $1337.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.61% to 1.1963, while EUR/GBP fell 0.45% to 0.9080.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.58% at 91.84.
