Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Industrials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which rose 3.18% or 0.0980 points to trade at 3.1800 at the close. Meanwhile, J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) added 1.23% or 0.1600 points to end at 13.1250 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was up 1.05% or 0.100 points to 9.620 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Semapa (LS:SEM), which fell 1.23% or 0.2500 points to trade at 20.1500 at the close. EDP (LS:EDP) declined 0.92% or 0.0320 points to end at 3.4620 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was down 0.71% or 0.0200 points to 2.8000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 15 to 14 and 10 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 3.74% or 2.79 to $71.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 3.95% or 2.73 to hit $66.44 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.20 to trade at $1217.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.05% to 1.1593, while EUR/GBP rose 0.45% to 0.9002.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 95.08.
