Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 2.31% or 0.0070 points to trade at 0.3100 at the close. Meanwhile, REN (LS:RENE) added 1.64% or 0.0400 points to end at 2.4830 and EDP (LS:EDP) was up 1.34% or 0.0390 points to 2.9470 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sonae (LS:YSO), which fell 1.83% or 0.0200 points to trade at 1.0730 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) declined 1.00% or 0.0660 points to end at 6.5560 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was down 0.69% or 0.0018 points to 0.2585.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 16 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 1.78% or 1.13 to $64.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.77% or 0.44 to hit $57.80 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.00 to trade at $1247.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.20% to 1.1797, while EUR/GBP rose 0.44% to 0.8831.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 93.77.
