Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which rose 2.76% or 0.1440 points to trade at 5.3650 at the close. Meanwhile, CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) added 1.71% or 0.0590 points to end at 3.5060 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was up 1.33% or 0.2150 points to 16.3750 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REN (LS:RENE), which fell 1.71% or 0.0460 points to trade at 2.6510 at the close. Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) declined 1.46% or 0.053 points to end at 3.582 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was down 0.98% or 0.0025 points to 0.2527.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 16 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.33% or 0.2150 to 16.3750.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.79% or 0.51 to $63.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.26% or 0.15 to hit $57.20 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.44% or 5.61 to trade at $1275.99 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.23% to 1.1583, while EUR/GBP fell 0.10% to 0.8806.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 94.84.
