Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Utilities and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 2.20% or 0.0060 points to trade at 0.2790 at the close. Meanwhile, Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) added 1.35% or 0.2150 points to end at 16.1300 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 1.24% or 0.0450 points to 3.6750 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which fell 1.65% or 0.0520 points to trade at 3.1060 at the close. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) declined 1.48% or 0.2100 points to end at 13.9800 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was down 1.44% or 0.160 points to 10.940.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 13 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.48% or 0.2100 to 13.9800.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 1.75% or 1.29 to $74.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 2.05% or 1.40 to hit $69.83 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.30 to trade at $1314.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.24% to 1.1960, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.8834.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 92.40.
