Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 5.35% or 0.1460 points to trade at 2.8770 at the close. Meanwhile, Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 1.87% or 0.0060 points to end at 0.3270 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) was up 1.45% or 0.0540 points to 3.7890 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP), which fell 0.90% or 0.1300 points to trade at 14.2550 at the close. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) declined 0.87% or 0.1450 points to end at 16.4500 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was down 0.66% or 0.0350 points to 5.2740.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 17 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) rose to 52-week highs; up 5.35% or 0.1460 to 2.8770.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.04% or 0.02 to $55.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.32% or 0.16 to hit $49.73 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.45 to trade at $1327.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.31% to 1.1956, while EUR/GBP fell 0.97% to 0.8810.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 91.80.
