Investing.com - Apple got its annual product event underway Wednesday, launching three new iPhones, a new Apple Watch and a revamped iPad. The tech giant also said Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) TV+ will roll out its first shows on Nov. 1, at a lower price than rival services.

  • Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) unveiled three new iPhones: the base iPhone 11, starting at $699, the iPhone 11 pro, starting at $999, and iPhone Pro Max, starting at $1,099. The flagship iPhone Pro Max looks similar to its predecessor, the iPhone XS Max, but features a triple-lens camera on the back and five hours more battery life. The phone will ship Sept. 20.

  • Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) TV+ will roll out its first shows on Nov. 1 in 100 countries and offer its family subscription for $4.99 per month, less than Wall Street expectations for $9.99. Rival streaming service Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) and Walt Disney (NYSE:DIS), which will launch its Disney+ on Nov. 12, were down following the announcement. Apple was down 0.4%.

  • The company launched a new 10.2-inch iPad, starting at $329, and is expected to be twice as fast as top selling PCs, Apple) said. The company also introduced the Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) Watch Series 5, sporting an 18 hour battery life, starting at $399.
