Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Real Estate and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 1.22%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Royal Dutch Shell A (AMS:RDSa), which rose 0.56% or 0.14 points to trade at 26.18 at the close. Meanwhile, Vopak (AMS:VOPA) added 0.10% or 0.04 points to end at 45.34 and NN Group (AMS:NN) was down 0.08% or 0.02 points to 25.52 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unibail-Rodamco (AMS:UNBP), which fell 2.75% or 6.35 points to trade at 224.70 at the close. Heineken (AMS:HEIN) declined 2.32% or 1.60 points to end at 67.24 and Ahold Kon (AMS:AHLN) was down 2.14% or 0.41 points to 18.72.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 199 to 38 and 7 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 3.31% to 21.41.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.59% or 0.34 to $57.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.57% or 0.35 to hit $61.67 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.62% or 7.30 to trade at $1167.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 1.18% to 1.1105, while EUR/GBP fell 0.53% to 0.7275.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.04% at 96.49.
