Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 1.21%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Koninklijke DSM NV (AS:DSMN), which rose 0.18% or 0.20 points to trade at 111.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Unilever NV (AS:UNA) fell 0.06% or 0.0300 points to end at 50.8000 and Takeaway Com Holding BV (AS:TKWY) was down 0.12% or 0.1000 points to 82.2500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which fell 7.26% or 0.942 points to trade at 12.042 at the close. ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd) declined 4.43% or 0.74 points to end at 15.95 and Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD) was down 2.72% or 0.575 points to 20.530.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 102 to 26 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) fell to 3-years lows; falling 7.26% or 0.942 to 12.042. Shares in ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd) fell to 3-years lows; down 4.43% or 0.74 to 15.95.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 6.31% to 17.67.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 4.00% or 2.10 to $54.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.18% or 1.25 to hit $58.63 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.35 to trade at $1509.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.25% to 1.1205, while EUR/GBP rose 0.86% to 0.9291.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 97.320.
